I can't describe how perfect today was. A day free of obligations. A day spent waiting for my relatives to arrive...but wait...they came so early and stayed so late...it wasn't a wait at all. It was perfect. My brother arrived with his family and we ate, we played, we napped, we enjoyed our togetherness. I even got a chat with my SIL, whose chats are so helpful to me. I wish I could describe the wonderful feeling of just being. There was no "big meal". There was no "planned activity." There was no "outing." There was no anything contrived. And then...
My mom gave me a Christmas present today. It is an engraved pendant that says "I am always with you. Be brave, have courage, love life."
Mom doesn't read my blog, she doesn't know anything about my longing to be courageous, embrace change or inspire others.
So blessed that even though she doesn't know these things, she still gets it, gets me.
This inspires me to grab tomorrow and squeeze the life out of it. Can't wait to see what happens!
